Luigi was the pick of my Ares van Boekhout Akker x  Nierlender's Hera litter.  He is typical of the NVBK dogs - highly flammable.  Not an easily trained dog and only has allowed a couple people in his circle.  As a young dog, he would greet people by wrapping his legs around the person's waist and growling.  An interesting sensation I'm told.  He does settle down in the house but turns it on very quickly.  Although he is quite a handful, he is not handler aggressive.  He is playful with pups and females.  He's my travel partner and has logged many miles with me across the states.  He is on the  larger size for malinois at around 82 pounds. 

His good qualities?

• Excellent full-mouth biter
• Always Ready
• Environmentally solid
• Great jumper

The bad?

• Hunt drive could be better
• Not social

He is OFA Excellent, Elbows clear and Cardiac normal (testing done at 6 1/2 years of age).  Embark tested and clear.

He is currently not open to outside females.

Nugget is an interesting dog.  Highly possessive, and independent.  She is the type of dog that must have something in her mouth at all times.  Nugget is environmentally solid, friendly and very trainable.  Highly intelligent and able to learn behaviors with very low repetitions.

Call name Eva, this one is a family favorite.  Extremely high drive and dominant in nature.  I imported her from Belgium as a pup and her and I clicked from the beginning.  I was especially pleased at her hunt drive as I didn't expect that quality from the big biters of Ghoy!  I can not take credit for her full mouth bite as she came from the factory that way.
